Hi Wellington Teachers
I am coming to Wellington in Term 2 to run a workshop weaving drama, literacy and inquiry learning.
This is a one day course. Details are as follows:
Date: 23rd April
Time: 9am - 3pm
Venue: Tawa Primary School
Cost: $120

Course Details
This is an active hands on workshop. Participants will leave with units of work that they can work with in their classroom.
We will explore ways to plan smarter and weave together literacy, drama and inquiry. As teachers, we are all finding new ways to motivate students and try and fit everything in. We will work through two different drama processes that I use in my current practise.
Drama provides a highly stimulating way into raising student curiosity and engagement.
I am able to tailor the course to the participants we have in the course.
About me
I am a full time drama and dance specialist. I have a real passion for developing exciting, meaningful learning through drama.
I teach Yrs 0 - 11 plus I work at the New Zealand Graduate School of Education. I will work with drama learning that I know works with students. I have been involved in the drama curriculum since the start of the arts curriculum in 1998.
For my more formal credentials ... I have written 3 books in Drama and I have a Dip.Tch, B.Ed and a Masters degree in Drama Education.
